Once upon a time I had several tea subscription boxes. At this point I am down to only two boxes. I wound up cutting back because I wasn’t able to keep up with reviewing them. Even now I have a backlog of boxes to work my way through. My plan is to post one review a week of the boxes in addition to the regular weekly tea review until I get caught up.
This week we are reviewing our October 2022 box from Atlas Tea Club. This box is $16 per month and sends you two teas from a different country each month. For October the teas are from Thailand. I know we have gotten a Thailand box previously, but I’m not sure if the teas are the same or not. Both of my teas are black teas which are my preference.
Tea #1: Shan Lin Xi Black – This tea was sweet and slightly fruity. The flavors were slightly reminiscent of plums and caramel.
Tea #2: Qing Xin Da Mo – This tea was also sweet and slightly fruity, but less so than the first tea. The flavor to me was reminiscent of raisins. Kayla said it tasted slightly of coffee to her, but I did not get that at all.
We tried both of these as hot tea, but I think they would also be great iced. The favorite tea for both of us was the Shan Lin Xi black tea. Surprisingly we both gave it a 5 out of 5 rating. For the Qing Xin Da Mo tea I liked it, but Kayla was not a fan, I rated it a 4 out of 5 and Kayla rated it a 1 out of 5.
All in all, I enjoyed the Taiwan box and I’m looking forward to our next box.
